Welcome home Returning Volunteers…..  so glad to have you back again.

We have made a giant commitment to totally eliminate the wait list for students this year.   To give you an idea, last year we left about 200 students without a snow experience.   We have a plan to overcome this and we need your help.

We are asking our returning volunteers to commit to a 9 week stint this year starting the first week of January.   The first 2 weeks will be for drop in lesson on your scheduled day or night session.   This will allow you the chance to teach some new students, possible with different challenges then you are typically used to teaching.  This will sharpen your AOT skills and get you brain firing on all teaching cylinders.  And if for some reason there are no students that want lessons, we will have trainers ready to go to help you work on your own skiing or boarding or whatever CADS discipline interests you.  All upside for everyone.   Thank you in advance for trying something new.   We are hopeful it works amazing, and optimistic to always find the best solutions.

After the first 2 weeks of January are over,  we swing right back into our orientation session followed by 6 week sessions with the students.

Also new in this season, every group will have an on hill trainer to help problem solve challenging students and offer extra training session if students don’t show up.     Your time is valuable and we want to make sure you feel as though it is being well invested volunteering with VASS.  If you are not feeling as though you are being used to your optimum, please chat with your program coordinator and we can attempt to find great new solutions.

We are offering 17 programs this year.   Please ensure that when you signup for a program you are committing to attend all dates.  To learn more about the programs please check out the STUDENT page on the website.  Click one of the GREEN boxes to start your registration.

NOW, If you are not a skier nor snowboarder and want to help VASS we need you too….
