BASIC SIT-SKIING

Basic Sit-Ski Level 1
Saturday Morning – Seymour Mountain
Program Coordinator: Mark Davison and Simon Cho
Due to the Olympics we are modifying the program and the lesson dates will be compressed this year. The tentative program dates are January 16 to February 06, 2010. There may be some drop in lessons in March as well (weather permitting).
Registration
For those who have not heard about the lottery, due to the popularity of the Learn to Sit Ski Program we have adopted the use of a lottery to determine who will be selected as students for the program. The program cost is $100 for four lessons and $25 for a drop in session. The lottery will decide who gets the first choice on time and lesson blocks.
The first name drawn will get first choice and I will continue until all spot are filled. Anyone who is not successful in getting in the program will have their name be put on the list for drop in lessons. They will also get two entries into next year’s lottery. All program or drop in students must be members of DSABC and pay their membership fee prior to taking any lesson.
Students interested in participating in the Sit Ski Lottery should contact myself or Simon and request a Sit Ski Expression of Interest 2010 Application, fill it out and return the completed form back to us. Participants will be contacted once the lottery has been drawn.
To summarize for this year:
Any inquires about the program should be directed to myself and Simon at sit1-sat@vass.ca. People wishing to be in the Learn to Ski Sit Program must put their names in for a lottery by December 18th, 2009. Those who were unsuccessful last year and enter this year get two entries. Anyone who does not make the main program goes on a waiting/drop in list and fills in on any vacancy during the regular program and will at least get out once or twice on the drop in days.
In addition, membership at DSABC ($45 fee) is required. Please see: DSABC – Become A Member
